The chicken caribe sandwich and black beans with yellow rice is delicious
We've been here in the past. It's not close but easy to get to. Good very good, raised in Tampa area (Cuban food) this little restaurant brings back memories.
Always great food and friendly service.
When we find ourselves close to Belleview we seem to always go to Chicken Time Cuban, since it is so good and very reasonable in price. Today was no exception. My wife had Chicken Caribe, grilled marinaded chicken breast with grilled onions, and loved it. I had Puerco Asado, thinly carved roast pork with onions and mojito sauce. I also loved it. The service is also always good. We will be back.
I love this place! Hands down my favorite Cuban food in the area. The atmosphere is certainly dated, but that just adds to the charm of this little hole-in-the-wall. If you try it, I am sure you'll be pleased.
Amazing food, everything we ordered was great and delicious
Very good food and people! Very large amounts of foods the best Cuban restaurant in Ocala!
I can’t even describe how great there food is! I’m from NYC and I have not found a good real Spanish food place until I came here. There food is always consistent!!!! Taste great every time! Great service, nice staff, very clean and good pricing! I travel 1 hour to go there and eat there food. Definitely worth my travel and time. Give this place a try. You won’t regret it!
EXCELLENT food
best cuban food in ocala and I live in miami I visit everytime Iam in ocala.very clean and great service.
Everything was very acceptable. Service good, our food choices were excellent, cleanliness good, menu very diverse and the temperature was not bad (air conditioning seemed to be challend). Ambiance was interesting (but you can't chew ambiance). Overall a pleasant place with reasonable prices. We will return.
Order a Tresleches cake paid almost $4 for a small piece of cake that wasn’t even an authentic Tresleches. Was very dry & if you know a Tresleches cake is you know it’s known for being very moist seeing as how it’s a 3 milk cake !! Very disappointed. My co worker slice even had mold. Took both slices back, & got a refund !!
Delicious food! Highly recommend.
I come all the way from Tampa just for this place. Best Puerto Rican dishes hands down, second best to abuela!!
Exc3llent food for the cost not so visually appealing but the flavor was there
Food was fresh and very tasty. Authentic. Worth the try.
I LOVE CUBAN SANDWICHES. I DONT THINK THEY UNDERSTAND CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM. THE SANDWICH WAS NOTHING TO WRIGHT HOME ABOUT. THEIR RESPONSE TO MY ISSUE SUCKED. IF THEY KNEW HOW TO BE PATIENT WITH PEOPLE I'D GO BACK.
To Go gets a 5 star rating, but eating inside is not always the fastest and sometimes too hot.Great Food, Great People, no real atmosphere
It's so good,and good service.
Most delicious Cuban sandwich ever!
Great little place! Monfongo just like on the island! Delicioso
The restaurant was plain and dated and the ceiling tiles were dirty, but the food is delicious we loved it
The food is delicious we loved it will definitely be back
Best Cuban sandwich!!! Only $7.49. my husband had a sandwich something like a Philly deluxe, which was also excellent
Love the food.
One's first impression of this restaurant likely won't be too positive--from the outside it doesn't look like much, and inside the place looks like it hasn't been renovated since the day they opened. However, they keep the place clean, and speaking for myself, it's the food that matters, not the ambiance. As to the food--do yourself a favor and don't even look at the menu--just order the "Vaca Frita" (shredded beef with grilled onions) with rice, black beans, and an extra side of sweet plantains. It's a wonderful mix of flavors...sweet & salty with just a touch of sour...so damn tasty!!!!! Whenever I've eaten here there's only been one waitress and one cook, so if the place is busy (that's a good sign, right??) you may have to wait a few minutes to have your order taken and another 10 minutes or so to get your food. Trust me--it's worth the wait!
This is b's I ordered 4 cubans and 4 stuffed potatos from here the 4 stuffed potatoes where ok but the 4 sandwiches where just awful disgusting I mean hard to swallow type deal
Delicious food freshly produced and served at just the right temperature. Generous servings. Friendly staff.
Came inside, waited for someone to get us. No one came. Four minutes later I went to the pickup window and saw a lady putting a sandwich in a microwave. We left.Edit: no one said anything to me. We left because we don't want microwaved food.
It was my first time. Friends took me. I recommend it. The food was delicious and the serving size left plenty to bring home. The servers were very helpful .
Great puerto Rican flavor food is outstanding .
This is the first time checking this place out and I have to say its pretty good. The food was well seasoned and the server was nice.
Im not sure how to spell the sandwich I enjoyed , but it was delicious!
Horrible! The waitress insisted we sit at another table. The one and only booth needed a cup & a wipe down & she refused to do it. She said "no. You must move. I'm busy ".In response to what the owner wrote.... the ONLY thing on the table was a signed receipt & a used ice tea cup. I would never expect someone to completely bus a whole dirty table for me to sit there.
First time visit. Restaurant is clean and cheerful. Food was served hot and tasty. Service was reat. Will definitely go back!
Excellent an inexpensive true Cuban food. Chicken time is a true find in a small town. Unlike Mexican food the Cuban food is generally not spicy but more flavorful. The beans and rice either red beans or black beans are very good they have a nice flavor. The Empanada appeared to have homemade dough and the stuffing although not overstuffed had a very nice flavor. My favorite was the soup. I don't exactly remember the name of it but it was delicious with beans, little chunks of meat, potato and squash served with rice, it made a lovely and super filling lunch.
Friendly staff, large portions, and good prices. Food was delicious; the fried yuca appetizer and my fish were flavorful without being overpowered or spicy. The mofongo which was not bad, but we did not think it was as good as the yuca or fish. We also had some cafe con leche; well done espresso shots (not bitter)!
Little place the worst place to order a Cuban sandwich ever.it had 1 thin piece of sliced pork not pulled pork and 2 pieces of ham
My favorite place for Mojo
Great food and owners! Had a nice meal with my nephew today 😊
Awesome. From NC. So good. Thank you!!
Great Puerto Rican and Cuban menu with a little Peruvian touch
Very nice food there. Tasty and seasoning so well...
The Cuban sub was delicious. I love their black beans and rice.
GOOD PLACE TO EAT.
Eaten there several times. Although the dining room is small and plain, the food is excellent. Pork and chicken are especially good. Generally, only one server is present in the small dining area, therefore my 4 star rating. The food is authentic and excellent as is the value.
This was our first time here and we really enjoyed our visit. It is a small place but it has big flavors. The service was very good. My son had the Puerto Rico Tripleta pressed sandwich and I had the Pollo A La Chicken Time. We will be back!
This was our first time dining at Chicken Time but it won't be the last. The service was perfect, and the food was delicious and abundant!! My husband and I are looking forward to our next meal at Chicken Time. If you are anywhere near Belleview, Florida, I recommend you give Chicken Time a try. You will not be disappointed.
First off, a Cuban sandwich is $8. Secondly, the sandwich sucked. The restaurant was plain and dated and the ceiling tiles were dirty and nasty looking. I do not recommend this restaurant at all. If you want a good Cuban sandwich try mojos.
Authentic, family owned little restaurant offering a great selection of menu items, reasonably priced and quite tasty! We popped in literally 2 minutes after the 10am opening and had a great breakfast! A couple of cafe con leche's followed with a Cuban breakfast sandwich and hubby's fav Cuban meal "vaca frita" we're all scrumptious indeed! Very fresh, well-prepared items were served with pleasant service! For what it is (little hole in the wall stop), it's awesome, stop by and enjoy!! 👍Update Sept 26, 2017: we've been back several times with the same wonderful, family run excellent foodie experience each time! Definitely recommend 👍!
